Thank you. I would suggest substituting "allegedly murdered" for "executed" Ms. Good. BTW, In my self-observation, I've recognized that I'm usually not brought to tears by the horrors or tragedies but by the valiance shown in response to them--like the Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey's loud and clear message to ICE (and you!). I'm glad you included that movie recommendation--"Classroom 4." It looks like an excellent example of how to respond to damaged people with healing. I connected it to your mentioning "about Ross, however, pleads for us to understand him." I agree with those who've reacted to Ross's history and then his clearly filmed behavior by saying you don't handle your hurt by going out and shooting someone. It would appear that it's done through things like "Classroom 4." One last point--this tragedy is yet another example of profound failure of leadership (through the mentality/behavior of you-know-who that you've outlined). Add it to Vietnam and other misadventures (to put it politely).
Thank you Richard. I considered that wording - but this in particular seemed so egregiously over the top that I felt that legal “accuracy” or nicety was insufficient. This looked like a gangland slaying to me.
🙏🏽💔🙏🏽 Thank you Dr. Fullilove - it’s all so personalized and anguished, but it is a collective problem. I just had someone message me because they were “triggered” as they put it, by the title alone. Life is hard… we all need support.
This is profound and deserves to be expanded upon. You touch on so many themes that shine a light on the "why" for dysfunctional behavior. If we don't understand bad behavior we become victims to it. I would add that DHS should never have put Ross back on the street given his past experience. He was in a highly triggered state.
Thank you for reading and contemplating these tragic times. I agree that Ross needed evaluation. But the whole system needs evaluation. See Sherrilyn Ifill’s latest - this is not a problem of individuals.

Thank you for posting a link to this article on my own, appended below. I appreciate your lancing hypocrisy and corruption as you see them.
BUT-
Millions are waking up to the tyranny of state-sponsored terror, and the reality of a police state in the making.
There seems to be a faulty premise in your argument. You presume that DJT is a righteous actor enforcing immigration law specifically against the undocumented population that is committing horrific crime. That is patently false. See this view of ICE with my comment. Mr Trump is ratcheting up cruelty and dismissiveness to all but conservative “Christian” WMs. That dismissal is part of what led to the killing of Renee Nicole Good last week.
We see how cruelty defends itself. How do humanity and compassion defend themselves? Answers may vary, but I think there’s a long game - in that cruelty is invariably a short (albeit persistent and recurrent force and undertow) - and a short game, which may be about informing the public narrative, taking a stand/picking your spot, and deepening your roots to health and community.

A very complex piece, moving rapidly across scales of society, community and person. Thank you for demonstrating how complexity works. We need this!

It was amazing about the glaciers.
